NBC FORMS NEW OLYMPICS DIVISION HEADED BY EBERSOL

NBC has created NBC Olympics, a new division which will
be in charge of every aspect of NBC's Olympic involvement,
including the programming, marketing, sales, promotion and
production of the Olympic Games from 2000 to 2008. The
division will be distinct from NBC Sports and be led by NBC
Sports President Dick Ebersol, who will be Chair & CEO of
NBC Olympics. NBC Broadcast & Network Operations President
Randy Falco will be President & COO of the division and be
responsible for the day-to-day operations of NBC Olympics.
The division will have a March '98 start-up. Other staff
will include Peter Diamond, Senior VP/Olympic Programs;
Kathleen Hurlie, Senior VP/Olympic Project Management &
Finance; Ed Swindler, Senior VP/Olympic Sales Planning;
Keith Turner, Senior VP/NBC Sports & Olympic Sales; and Gary
Zenkel, Senior VP/Olympic Marketing & Business Development.
This staff will report directly to Falco (NBC Sports).
