FINANCE NOTES: NEW WOMEN'S ATHLETIC CATALOG BEGINS TESTING

          Female Athletic Inc., a Long Island-based mail-order
     catalog featuring sports apparel and gear designed for girls
     and women, was featured in NEWSDAY.  The catalog was
     distributed in October to a test group of about 100,000
     homes nationwide.  Since then, the 32-page piece has
     generated between $90,000-$100,000 in sales, and the average
     sale of $58 an order has exceeded the projected $40
     (NEWSDAY, 12/15)....Ticketmaster acquired VA-based
     Distributed System Architects, which develops computerized
     technology/software for the sports industry (DSA).
