Fila Holding SpA confirmed Saturday that it has "laid off" 32 workers, 24 of them at its U.S. headquarters and distribution facility in Sparks, MD, according to the Baltimore SUN. Fila Senior VP Howe Burch said that the company's business "has been off this year," and the layoffs were part of a move to "reduce operating costs" (SUN, 11/2).
