EXECUTIVE TRANSACTIONS

          The SLOC has named STEVE WILLIAMS as its Dir of Sponsor
     Services.  Williams, formerly CEO of the Children's Miracle
     Network, will serve as a liaison between SLOC and OPUS.  He
     will coordinate advertising and promotion of Olympic sponsors
     and supplier programs and their involvement in the 2002 Games
     (DESERET NEWS, 11/18)....DALE GARDNER, LISA ANTONUCCI and JAY
     COFFIN have joined GOLFWEEK's editorial staff.  Gardner is
     the new Associate Editor of Business, Antonucci fills a newly
     created Staff Writer position and Coffin takes over as
     Scoreboard Editor (GOLFWEEK, 11/15 issue)....JIM CORMIER
     joined Head USA, Inc. as Dir of Footwear Operations Worldwide
     (TENNIS WEEK, 11/20 issue).....MLB named DICK BRESCIANI,
     VP/Public Affairs for the Red Sox, the '97 winner of its
     Robert O. Fishel Award for Public Relations Excellence (MLB).
