O'S OBJECT TO ADJACENT CAMDEN ENTERTAINMENT COMPLEX

The Orioles "are considering going to court to stop" a
state proposed "urban entertainment complex" adjacent to
Camden Yards, according to Paul Valentine of the WASHINGTON
POST. The MD Stadium Authority has proposed a privately
     developed 200,000-300,000-square-foot project on MD-owned
land, with shops, restaurants and sports-themed
entertainment. But the Orioles feel the "project would
create unfair competition for team sales of tickets, food
and baseball novelties" (WASHINGTON POST, 11/15).
