          MLS CUP: ABC's coverage of the MLS Cup '97 on Sunday
     drew a 1.8/4 preliminary overnight rating (THE DAILY).
          ONLINE: The World Series site, www.totalworldseries.
     com, was viewed in more than 40 countries.  Viewing of the
     site increased from 842,241 hits and 421,759 page views on
     the day of Game One, to 4,361,189 hits and 2,219,022 page
     views on Sunday for Game Seven (Total Sports)....iMALL Inc.
     has added the "iMALL Sports Center" to its Web site at
     www.imall.com.  The new iMALL Sports Center will be hosted
     by the 49ers' Steve Young who will conduct a weekly "Ask the
     Quarterback" segment (iMALL)....Due to his minor toe injury,
     the debut of Michael Jordan's Web site on CBS SportsLine was
     "postponed" until this week (MEDIAWEEK, 10/27 issue)....In
     San Antonio, David King reviewed Nike.com, writing, "For a
     global company, Nike.com's Web home is decidedly down-to-
     earth," and that the site is, "as it was in the beginning,
     people-oriented" (EXPRESS-NEWS, 10/25).
          GENERAL: "Arli$$" has been renewed for its third
     season.  The Tollin-Robbins production will start shooting
     13 new episodes at the beginning of March.  The new shows
     are set to tentatively debut on HBO in June (THE DAILY).
     ...In N.Y., Bob Raissman, on NBC Sports failing to report
     the altercation that occurred between Colts QB Jim Harbaugh
     and NBC Sports NFL analyst Jim Kelly: "[T]his was big news
     and NBC should've reported it" (N.Y. DAILY NEWS, 10/28)....
     ...The HOCKEY NEWS' Bob McKenzie reports that sources said
     Molson "will declare proprietary rights" on the name "Hockey
     Night in Canada," and unless new CBC partner Labatt "is
     prepared to wage legal battle for the name, its entitlement
     will have to be different" (HOCKEY NEWS, 10/31 issue).
