LEAGUE NOTES

          NFL: MD Stadium Authority Chair John Moag will make a
     presentation to the NFL's Super Bowl advisory committee on
     November 6 to promote Baltimore hosting a Super Bowl.  Moag
     will be joined by reps from Dallas and Jacksonville, who are
     also looking to host the game (Baltimore SUN, 10/26).
          TENNIS: The Corel WTA Tour has set a single-season on-
     site attendance record of 3,316,694 through 47 events in
     '97.  The number tops the '94 record of 3,310,020 by over
     6,000 and comes after nine fewer events.  Tour attendance is
     up 7% overall, with five events to be played (WTA Tour). 

TNT’s Stan Van Gundy, ESPN’s Tim Reed, NBA Playoffs and NFL Draft

On this week’s pod, SBJ’s Austin Karp has two Big Get interviews. The first is with TNT’s Stan Van Gundy as he breaks down the NBA Playoffs from the booth. Later in the show, we hear from ESPN’s VP of Programming and Acquisitions Tim Reed as the NFL Draft gets set to kick off on Thursday night in Motown.
