BRYANT GUMBEL, on "Larry King Live" last night, asked
whether he will do any work for CBS Sports: "We have talked
about the possibility of doing something. I'm not looking
to go back into the sports world, and frankly they've got
people over there who I'm a fan of and who do a wonderful
job, and CBS Sports doesn't need Bryant Gumbel." Gumbel, on
whether he thinks MARV ALBERT will return to TV work: "I
would be surprised if we see him back on television in the
short term ... I'd be absolutely amazed" (CNN, 9/30).
