DENVER JUDGE TAPS THE ROCKIES; RULES AGAINST WEB PUBLISHER

A Denver District Court judge ruled that Web publisher
Robert Lewis "must sever all connection" between his CO
Tourism & Sport Web site and the sport of baseball, because
his site, rockies.com, "creates the illusion" that it is
affiliated with the Rockies, according to Leyla Kokmen of
the DENVER POST. Judge Federico Alvarez said that the site
is "confusing to the public," and that Lewis "may not link
rockies.com to any site with content about baseball."
Alvarez's ruling is for a preliminary injunction until a
full lawsuit is heard in December (DENVER POST, 9/27).
