          Reebok's $12M lawsuit against TriStar Pictures, over
     being cut from the film "Jerry Maguire," begins Tuesday in
     U.S. District Court in L.A. (L.A. TIMES, 9/28)....In his
     "About New York" column, the N.Y. TIMES' David Gonzalez
     wrote that "dozens of young people from 11 settlement
     houses" in New York City were "planning to dump their old
     Nikes" at NikeTown NY, "to protest what they say is the shoe
     company's double exploitation of the poor" (N.Y. TIMES,
     9/27)....Miller Brewing Co. will debut a new TV spot for its
     Genuine Draft brand tonight during ABC's "Monday Night
     Football."  The 30-second spot, from Wieden & Kennedy, OR,
     is entitled "Toast," and is one of three new ads released by
     Miller (MILWAUKEE JOURNAL SENTINEL, 9/29).
          TRACK NEWS: CART's Newman/Haas Racing has re-signed
     Michael Andretti and Christian Fittipaldi to multi-year
     deals (Newman/Haas).....NHRA Stock Driver, and former NBA
     All-Star, Larry Nance is still searching for a team sponsor:
     "I thought with my basketball background, it would make it
     easier to get a sponsor.  It's getting expensive, and I
     might have to give it up" (K.C. STAR, 9/28).
