JACKSONVILLE'S LOVELIGHTS TO SHINE ON "MNF" TELECAST
Published September 19, 1997
In an effort to "show off" the city, Jacksonville businesses "will be telling their employees" to leave their lights on for ABC's "Monday Night Football" telecast of the Jaguars-Steelers game, according to Earl Daniels of the FLORIDA TIMES-UNION. It will be the Jaguars' first regular- season "MNF" appearance and downtown businesses were notified by the city Chamber of Commerce after officials in the mayor's office "urged the light-up effort." In one example, it will cost $700 to light the 30-story BellSouth Tower for five hours (FLORIDA TIMES-UNION, 9/17).
