GOLF NEWS & NOTES: FORMER BEN HOGAN EXECS BUY APPAREL CO.

          Former Ben Hogan Co. execs Mike Godwin and Elgin Berry     are leading a Ft. Worth-based group that has purchased     Duckster, maker of golf rain gear, shirts and hats, from the     IA-based DeLong Co., according to Dan Piller of the FT.     WORTH STAR-TELEGRAM.  Terms of the deal were not disclosed.      Duckster has sales and executive offices in Ft. Worth.      Godwin, the new company president, said he expects about $6M     in sales for FY '98 (FT. WORTH STAR-TELEGRAM, 8/14).
