AD AGE NOTES: TNT will launch TV spots for its eighth
season of NFL telecasts. AD AGE's Jeff Jensen adds that the
campaign, which runs on all Turner nets and is "estimated"
at $10M, "plays up the difference between" TNT Sunday night
games and the Sunday afternoon NBC/Fox games. ....Reebok has
contacted DDB Needham, DMB&B and Grey Advertising for its
$73.6M global media review (AD AGE, 7/7).
OTHER NOTES: Coca-Cola is sponsoring heavyweight boxing
champion Evander Holyfield's tour of South Africa, which
began Sunday and included a meeting with President Nelson
Mandela yesterday (USA TODAY, 7/7)....Hornets G David Wesley
has signed a new deal with Reebok "that will give him a
hefty increase" (Peter May, BOSTON GLOBE, 7/6)....At the ATP
Tour's Player Council meeting, the Council supported a
change to allow manufacturers' logos to be placed on the
front or back of players' shorts, and stated that staff will
address player concern about balls used on the Tour (ITW).
