          Fox will use its catcher cam starting this Saturday on
     regular-season games (Michael Hiestand, USA TODAY, 7/28).
     ...GOLFWEEK's Dave Shedloski notes that Bill Macatee has re-
     signed with USA Network to be its lead anchor for golf and
     other sports coverage for three more years (GOLFWEEK, 7/26).
     ....The expansion MLS Miami Fusion, who are scheduled to
     begin play next season, have launched an official web site
     at www.mlsnet.com/inside/fusion/index.html (MIAMI HERALD,
     7/27)....In N.Y., Phil Mushnick wrote on virtual advertising
     under the header "The Signage Of The Times Is Frightening." 
     Mushnick: "[T]here's no end to the possibilities -- or
     abuses -- of such technology. ... So far, TV rights holders
     operating within well-established leagues are in no rush to
     subjugate existing advertising.  There's a 'pay back,' home-
     and-home response to consider -- you block out mine, we'll
     block out yours" (N.Y. POST, 7/27)....Lifetime's coverage of
     the WNBA was examined in Sunday's N.Y. TIMES TV section. 
     Justine Elias: "[F]or Lifetime, women's basketball is part
     of a new initiative to broaden the idea of what, exactly,
     fits the 13-year-old cable network's mission to provide
     'Television for Women'" (N.Y. TIMES, 7/27).
