          The Nuveen Tour and its sponsors took out a six page ad
     spread in today's N.Y. TIMES Sports section previewing the
     Citibank Champions tournament August 6-11 in Purchase, N.Y. 
     Sponsors include Citibank, U.S. News & World Report, Coopers
     & Lybrand, Cadillac, Bang & Olufsen (N.Y. TIMES, 7/28)....In
     Boston, Will McDonough: "From someone who works at Reebok:
     Allen Iverson's sneaker outsells Shaquille O'Neal's by
     almost a 2-1 margin" (BOSTON GLOBE, 7/26)....The first
     editions of SAM's three Dennis Rodman bobbing head dolls
     were shipped after a four-month delay, and the Nike sneakers
     on the ceramic dolls "were repainted to reflect" his new
     deal with Converse (Bergen RECORD, 7/26)....TN-based Eastman
     Chemical Co. will commit $75,000 a year for ten years as a
     sponsor of the Women's Basketball Hall of Fame in Knoxville,
     TN, which is scheduled to open in March '99 (Eastman)....
     Aetna U.S. Healthcare has become the title sponsor and Legg
     Mason will be the presenting sponsor of the Grand Champions
     Celebrity Golf Classic, in which 25 PGA Tour golfers will
     play August 18-19 in Blue Bell, PA, for a $300,000 purse
     (Aetna)....Int'l Speedway Corp. and Sega of America have
     extended their licensing agreement giving Sega exclusive
     rights to the Daytona USA name to use on arcade, home play
     and PC racing games through '99 (ISC).

NBC Olympics’ Molly Solomon, ESPN’s P.K. Subban, the Masters and more
