ALBERT BELLE HITS GRANDE SLAM WITH TACO BELL PARTNERSHIP

White Sox OF Albert Belle has signed an endorsement
deal with Taco Bell to promote the "Belle Card," which
offers Taco Bell customers discounts on food products and
also provides discounts with promo partners Ameritech
Cellular and Paging and The Musicland Group. The promo is
being supported by radio and POS and will continue through
the end of the MLB season at 150 participating Taco Bells in
the Chicago market. The company will also contribute $150
to the Boys' and Girls' Club of Chicago for each home run
hit by Belle this season (Taco Bell).
CAL'S KIDS: Chevrolet is marking the second anniversary
of its partnership with Cal Ripken Jr. by presenting the
first Chevy Trucks/Cal Ripken Youth Baseball Clinics. One
clinic was held Tuesday in Arlington, TX, with a second to
be held August 9 in Anaheim, CA. Ripken and his father, Cal
Ripken Sr., provide instruction to 10-15 year-old Babe Ruth
League players, who are chosen to participate based on
athletic and academic performance (Chevrolet).
