of a tour of NFL training camps, "said Wednesday he wasn't
ready to give the Green Bay Packers the go-ahead to sell
additional shares of team stock just yet." Tagliabue: "We
are trying to make certain that this is something that is
real solid for the franchise for the long term" (MILWAUKEE

million mark in attendance on their 53rd home date, the
second earliest game they've reached the mark behind '94,
when they drew two million through their 50th game (FT.

Youngman wrote on the Angels' lagging attendance under the
header: "Disenchantment With Disney Keeps Some Fans At
Home." Youngman writes that a ticket price increase next
season, "more than tripling the cost of some seats -- was
not the smartest way to try to increase the Angels' fan
base. It makes it look as if the team merely is passing
along its expenses to the fans" (ORANGE COUNTY REGISTER,
7/21).....Investment partners Dan Staton and Fred Mayerson
"are trying to buy a piece" of the Reds from Marge Schott,
according to two sources close to the investment partners."
Dan Monk of the CINCINNATI BUSINESS COURIER writes that the
pair "would buy Schott's controlling share in the Reds, then
negotiate a lease agreement for a renovated Cinergy Field"
