DISNEY GOLF VISITS ANTIGUA FOR APPAREL DEAL

Walt Disney World Co. and AZ-based clothing
manufacturer The Antigua Group have signed an agreement to
make Antigua a preferred supplier to Walt Disney World Golf
through 2003. Antigua product will be featured at Disney
World golf pro shops, resort locations, Team Mickey sports
shops and corporate outings held at the resort. Antigua
apparel will also be part of staff and volunteer uniforms at
     Disney-sponsored pro golf events (Disney).
NOT A MINNIE DEAL: In Phoenix, Ken Western wrote that
the deal "is potentially worth millions to Antigua, which is
in transition" after being sold in June to TX-based
sportswear maker Southhampton Enterprises. The deal is
"likely to spin off more business with Disney operations
around the country [and] ... comes as Disney is getting more
serious about its golf operations." Disney Golf also has a
golf agreement with Callaway Golf (ARIZONA REPUBLIC, 7/11).
