          The Capitals announced that Steve Kolbe will become the
     team's radio voice on WTEM-AM.  Kolbe has spent the past two
     seasons as the pre- and post-game host for Capitals radio
     broadcasts (Capitals)....SportsChannel Ohio "decided not to
     renew" the contract of Cavs TV analyst Jim Chones (AKRON
     BEACON-JOUNRAL, 7/10)....FIFA has threatened legal action
     over the planned partnership between German media group
     Kirch and Swiss marketing company Prisma to market TV rights
     to the 2002 and 2006 World Cups (FINANCIAL TIMES, 7/10).
     ...The Mariners has became the first AL team to use the L-
     VIS virtual advertising system from Princeton Video Image
     (PVI)....Disney's Buena Vista Home Video "is taking over"
     the ESPN Video brand.  The relaunch of the ESPN label this
     fall will feature titles from newly signed deals with NASCAR
     and CART (HOLLYWOOD REPORTER, 7/10)....Ft. Lauderdale-based
     SportsLine USA took "top honors" as emerging entrepreneur at
     last week's Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year Awards in
     Orlando (SOUTH FLORIDA BUSINESS JOURNAL, 7/7 issue).
