FOX/LIBERTY DEAL, DAY TWO: STILL EYEING HOME TEAM SPORTS?

          Reaction continued to Fox/Liberty's deal with Rainbow
     Media: In Washington, Leonard Shapiro writes that sources
     say that Fox "will continue to pursue the purchase" of MD-
     based Home Team Sports, owned by Westinghouse/CBS.  Fox
     tried to purchase the RSN last summer.  Time Warner Sports
     President Seth Abraham, on News Corp. Chair Rupert Murdoch's
     strategy: "Murdoch is always a player on any game board,
     whether it's Scrabble, Parcheesi, Monopoly, the NFL or the
     NBA.  He's there" (WASHINGTON POST, 6/25).  In the new deal,
     USA TODAY's Rudy Martzke writes that "the key is" that Fox
     Sports Net "can now emphasize to advertisers it can buy top
     markets in No. 1 New York, No. 3 Chicago, No. 5 San
     Francisco bay area and No. 6 Boston" (USA TODAY, 6/25).
