          CBS' decision to cut off the Buick Classic's rain-
     delayed final round at 6:00pm ET "was based on its belief
     that it would not finish" by 7:00pm ET.  CBS Dir of
     Communications LeslieAnne Wade: "We figured we'd tick more
     people off by going off at 7 than if we went off at 6" (N.Y.
     TIMES, 6/24). ...Retiring Redskins OL Trevor Matich will
     work as a color analyst on NFL games for Fox Sports.  Fox
     will assign him "between two and five games per season, and
     will pay him around $3,000 per game" (WASHINGTON POST,
     6/24)....With its redesign of its "Sport" magazine, the new
     owners of Petersen Publishing Co. are "trying to separate
     the title from the coming battle" between Walt Disney Co.'s
     'ESPN Magazine,' and "Sports Illustrated."  A new look for
     "Sport" will be unveiled this October (AD AGE, 6/23 issue).
