Dennis Rodman was a guest on Court TV's "Cochran &
Company" last evening. Guests included Sports Illustrated
Assoc. Editor Lester Munson and NBPA Exec Dir William
Hunter. NBPA's Hunter, on the NBA: "They don't like the
image that Dennis projects. They don't like Dennis talking
about being bi-sexual or cross dressing or having all these
other fetishes." Hunter, on the $50,000 fine of Rodman for
his derogatory comments on Mormons: "We actually have to
change the collective bargaining agreement ... the
commissioner just has too much authority." SI's Munson:
"The collective bargaining agreement must have arbitration
with a third-party arbitrator to protect players' rights in
discipline cases." Rodman, dressed in a Converse shirt, on
suing the NBA: ""Why not? I lost $2 million this year
because of the NBA" ("Cochran & Company," 6/23). Rodman was
also a guest on ESPN's "Up Close," again wearing a tie-dyed
Converse shirt. Rodman, on NBA Commissioner David Stern: "I
don't really hate him, I just don't want him to make me look
like something I'm not" (ESPN, 6/23).
