EXECUTIVE TRANSACTIONS

          PepsiCo announced personnel for its soon-to-be-spun-off
     $20B restaurant group.  MIKE RAWLINGS, former President of
     DDB Needham Worldwide, Dallas, was named President - Chief
     Concept Officer for Pizza Hut; former Leo Burnett Co. Exec
     JEFF MOODY was named President - CCO at KFC; and Taco Bell
     Senior VP of Marketing PETER WALLER was named President -
     CCO at Taco Bell (AD AGE DAILY, 6/11)....Sports Producer &
     Director BOB LANNING has been named Coordinating Producer of
     Special Events for Turner Sports.  Lanning will oversee the
     production of Turner Sports' coverage of the '98 Winter
     Olympics and the '98 Goodwill Games (Turner Sports)....ED
     VARGO, NL Dir of Umpire Supervision, announced his
     retirement at the end of the year.  NL Umpire PAUL RUNGE
     will replace Vargo in the position (NL).
