STADIUM NOTES

          In Denver, Alan Snel writes that Mayor Wellington Webb
     "predicted" yesterday that the city and Avalanche/Nuggets
     parent Ascent Entertainment Group "will nail down the Pepsi
     Center deal before the Stanley Cup playoffs are done next
     month" (DENVER POST, 5/15).  Also in Denver, NFL Senior VP
     Roger Goodell visited on Wednesday and told the Denver
     stadium board that remodeling Mile High "could be filled
     with pitfalls" (ROCKY MOUNTAIN NEWS, 5/15)....In response to
     the City of Jacksonville's concerns about "getting
     shortchanged" in the Alltel Corp. naming rights deal for
     Jacksonville Municipal Stadium, the Jaguars will submit a
     new contract to the city council tomorrow (FLORIDA TIMES-
     UNION, 5/15)....Joe Montana told the S.F. EXAMINER's Capps &
     Opatrny that he is "considering" campaigning for the 49ers'
     stadium plan.  Team management asked Montana on Monday to
     join the campaign (S.F. EXAMINER, 5/14). 

TNT’s Stan Van Gundy, ESPN’s Tim Reed, NBA Playoffs and NFL Draft

On this week’s pod, SBJ’s Austin Karp has two Big Get interviews. The first is with TNT’s Stan Van Gundy as he breaks down the NBA Playoffs from the booth.
