NHL AND SIGNATURE SPORTS ANNOUNCE NHL-LICENSED ICE FACILITY

          NHL COO Steve Solomon yesterday toured the first NHL-
     licensed ice facility in Birch Run, MI, which is scheduled
     to open in July.  Under a licensing agreement, Signature
     Sports & Entertainment is responsible for the "development,
     construction, management, and operation" of the building. 
     Aside from recreational skating and hockey leagues on its
     regulation NHL and Olympic ice sheets, the facility will
     offer a food court, retail space, outdoor in-line rinks, and
     the NHL FANtasy Zone featuring interactive games and
     displays.  Solomon: "The NHL is focused at the grassroots
     level on the development of hockey and this is one more step
     in that development" (Signature Sports & Entertainment).
