DENNIS RODMAN appeared on "Larry King Live" on Friday night. On his decision to get into movies: "I like to perform, I like to be an entertainer, and I just don't want to be known as a basketball player, an athlete so called, so I just tested the waters in the movie industry." On whether he will stay in Chicago after this season, when he will be an unrestricted free agent: "I'll be very diplomatic about this. If we win, I'll come back. If we don't win, I see no way in hell that I'll be back." Rodman presented a pair of the new Converse Rodman sneakers to King at the end of the program ("Larry King Live," CNN, 3/28)....Orioles Owner PETER ANGELOS wrote a letter to the editor in response to a March 4 column by the Washington Post's Tony Kornheiser entitled, "View From Owner's Box Is Out in Left Field." Angelos: "Since Kornheiser has never interviewed me or even called for an interview, I think it is highly presumptuous of him to criticize my thoughts or motivation" (WASHINGTON POST, 3/29)....MARTINA HINGIS, following her win over MONICA SELES at the Lipton Championships: "I'd like to thank (tournament sponsor) Rado, but I can't because I'm sponsored by Omega" (THE DAILY).
