          Prosecutors in Mannheim, Germany, dropped their
     investigation into STEFFI GRAF's taxes in return for Graf
     paying a fine and making a charitable contribution (MIAMI
     HERALD, 3/27)....IMG's HUGHES NORTON, who represents TIGER
     WOODS, was profiled by Joe Concannon in the BOSTON GLOBE
     under the header "Norton Is Earning His Keep Representing
     The Rookie."  Norton tracked Woods' progress since the
     golfer was seven.  Norton: "The fact that he was a black
     prodigy made me think, How many black golfers have we had? 
     I always thought that if a young, black, athletic kid comes
     along he'd be, as Nicklaus has said, 'better than any of us
     in this game.'  I thought, 'This may be the kid'" (BOSTON
     GLOBE, 3/27)....MICHAEL VOLPE, the free-agent fan who
     "divorced" the MLB Giants, and was "courted" by 31 MLB and
     Minor League baseball teams, announced this morning on NBC's
     "Today" that he has chosen the Phillies and the Durham Bulls
     of the Carolina League as his teams ("Today," NBC, 3/27).
