ROCKETS LIKE PEPSI, BUT CLYDE THE GLIDE PREFERS SPRITE

Rocket G Clyde Drexler has signed a deal with the
Houston-area Coca-Cola bottler to endorse Sprite, according
to HOUSTON BUSINESS FIRST. This comes after the Rockets
inked a "major" sponsorship deal with PepsiCo. For Sprite,
Drexler will appear in local TV, radio and print ads, on POP
and packaging, and "maybe on some premium items and licensed
merchandise." Drexler: "I have been a faithful Sprite
drinker for a long time because it is a cool drink that
tastes great" (HOUSTON BUSINESS FIRST, 3/24).
MORE COLA WARS IN TEXAS: The Houston Coca-Cola Bottling
Company also signed a deal with the Astros to provide ticket
     discounts for Astros fans (Astros).
