Fox Sports Rocky Mountain (FSR), "still unavailable to
most Kansas City-area cable viewers, will offer at least 30
free satellite dishes leading up to its first Royals
telecasts," according to Randy Covitz of the K.C. STAR. The
offer includes free installation and six months of free
programming. Dishes will be given away on an FSR show and
through a sweeps with the K.C. Star (K.C. STAR, 3/25).
CHEESE BALLS: The Packers-Bears will kick off ABC's
"Monday Night Football" on September 1 (USA TODAY,
3/26)....In N.Y., Michael Shain notes ESPN's Dick Schaap
will write "Green Bay Replay," an account of the team's
championship season for Avon Books. It will be published
before the start of the NFL season. Schaap "stood to make
an extra" $25,000 from Avon Books if the Packers won the
Super Bowl. Schaap: "I can't remember the last time I had
that kind of rooting interest. It was written right in my
contract. I was to get a $10,000 bonus if Green Bay won the
conference championship and another $15,000 if they won the
