NCAA TOURNAMENT SITE SET TO OFFER GAME CYBERCAST

Over 20 million Internet users logged onto the official
NCAA Div. I Men's and Women's Basketball Championship site
on the Web. The site will offer live cybercasts and audio
for all upcoming women's and men's games throughout the
remainder of the tournaments at www.final four.net or
www.ncaa.org. The site is produced by the NCAA, Host
Communications and Total Sports (NCAA). Raleigh, NC-based
Koz Sports, which is handling the Internet coverage, is
profiled in today's Raleigh NEWS & OBSERVER. During opening
round games last week, Koz "struggled to accommodate a flood
of visitors ... At one point, technical problems tied up its
computers for 45 minutes. Koz fixed the problems with extra
equipment rushed in." Koz Sports has also signed a deal
with Visa, sponsor of the Triple Crown, to provide
electronic coverage of the upcoming horse races (Raleigh
     NEWS & OBSERVER, 3/20).
