ONLINE NEWS: PIZZA HUT RETURNS FOR ESPNET'S HOOP CHALLENGE

          Pizza Hut will sponsor the ESPNET's Men's and Women's
     Tournament Challenges, in which entrants choose the winners
     of games for the upcoming NCAA Tournaments. DoubleTree
     Hotels will co-sponsor the men's challenge.  Last year's
     men's challenge attracted more than 100,000 participants. 
     This is the first year for the women's challenge.  Winners
     receive trips to the '98 NCAA Tournaments (ESPNET).
          LEAGUE SITES: Jazz F Karl Malone will serve as the
     NBA.com "E-Mailman," beginning March 4.  Every Tuesday,
     Malone will ask for fans' opinions on a current issue or an
     issue of personal interest to him.  Malone will choose a
     selection of fan responses which will be posted along with
     his response the following week (NBA.com)....NHL.com has
     launched a series called "A Long Way From Home," providing
     fans an in-depth profile of NHL players, many of whom are
     expected to play in the '98 Winter Games in Nagano.  The
     series includes audio, photos and interviews, as well as
     information on the players' home country, hockey history and
     current NHL team.  The first feature will be on the Canucks'
     Pavel Bure (NHL Enterprises). 
          NOTES: The Int'l Motor Sports Association has updated
     its World Wide Web site at http://imsaracing.com. Updated
     series information, including driver bios, will be added to
     the site over the weeks leading up to the SUPERFLO 12 HOURS
     (IMSA)....MCI launched a new site at www.mcicenter. com,
     dedicated to the new MCI Center in Washington DC, future
     home of the NBA Wizards and NHL Capitals.  Features on the
     site include an "MCI Center Cam," which supplies "live"
     views of the arena updated every two minutes, an interactive
     seating chart that lets visitors check the virtual view from
     various locations inside the arena and a special games area
     for children (MCI Center).
