JUAN MORE TIME: SAMARANCH LOOKS TO CONTINUE IOC RUN

          Juan Antonio Samaranch intends to run for a fourth term
     as president of the IOC, according to James Christie in the
     Toronto GLOBE & MAIL.  Samaranch, 76, told Radio Suisse that
     if he receives a "favourable" medical report, he will run
     for the office again.  Until a year ago, the mandatory
     retirement age for IOC members was 75, but Samaranch
     "engineered" a revision and "persuaded" IOC members to boost
     the retirement age to 80.  Samaranch is expected to announce
     his candidacy officially at a meeting of the IOC executive
     board next week in Lausanne.  If he runs, "it is unlikely
     anyone will run against him" (Toronto GLOBE & MAIL, 2/27).
