CBS TAKES THE BATON FOR JOHNSON VS. BAILEY

2.19.1997

          CBS Sports will broadcast "The World's Fastest Human:
     Bailey vs. Johnson" on June 1st from the SkyDome in Toronto. 
     The "main event" features Olympic double-gold medalists from
     the '96 Summer Olympics, Canada's Donovan Bailey and Michael
     Johnson from the U.S. in a 150 meter sprint for the title of
     "World's Fastest Human" (CBS Sports).  CBS is paying $50,000
     in rights fees and will allot commercial time for meet
     sponsors (Rudy Martzke, USA TODAY, 2/19).
