DISPATCH FROM ATLANTA: SUPER SHOW NEWS & NOTES

          The NHL is partnering with the USOC, USA Hockey and the
     NHLPA in licensing, marketing and sponsorship programs using
     the slogan "The Coolest Game in Nagano" (NHL)....In New
     York, Mara Mornell writes about women's sportswear at the
     Super Show noting "in a race to fill the booming demand" for
     women's sportswear, retailers "jammed" the booths of
     companies like Guess Sports, L.A. Gear and other companies
     "offering a dizzying array of high-tech and performance gear
     for the 'second sex'" (N.Y. POST, 2/19).... Players Inc.,
     the licensing and marketing arm of the NFLPA, debuted their
     full line of casual clothing made by Joy Athletic (Players
     Inc.)....Kerri Strug and Nadia Comaneci were named
     spokespeople for Danskin, Inc. (Danskin)....Fila signed U.S.
     Women's National Soccer Team Captain Carla Overbeck to a
     multi-year endorsement deal (Fila).

TNT’s Stan Van Gundy, ESPN’s Tim Reed, NBA Playoffs and NFL Draft
