CLEMENS' JAYS OUTFOXED FOR '97 TV SEASON

Fox released its '97 baseball schedule, with the
Yankees, Indians, Dodgers and Marlins leading the way with
eight scheduled televised games each. The White Sox,
Braves, Orioles, Mariners, Mariners and Mets will each
appear seven times. Fox debuts its '97 season on May 31,
the first of 18 regular-season weeks of "Fox Saturday
Baseball." The first interleague games will be June 14,
     with Red Sox-Mets, Orioles-Braves, Indians-Cardinals and
Mariners-Dodgers. The 68th All-Star Game will be on July 8
     from Cleveland (Fox Sports).
WHY NO ROCKET? The A's, Twins, Brewers and Angels have
one scheduled game on Fox in '97. No NL team will appear
less than twice. The Tigers and Blue Jays are the only
teams not scheduled to appear on Fox this year (THE DAILY).
