FEL-PRO LATEST TO JOIN NASCAR AUTOMOTIVE AFTERMARKET

          Fel-Pro, manufacturer of gaskets, will be officially
     licensed by NASCAR and take part in the NASCAR automotive
     aftermarket program.  The NASCAR Officially Licensed logo
     will be placed on all packaging and promotional materials
     for Fel-Pro products, including car, light truck, tractor
     and performance applications (NASCAR).
          CURBING CRIME:  In Charlotte, Andrew Shain notes with
     $770M "in legitimate NASCAR-related souvenirs at stake last
     year, fierce competitors now find themselves working
     together to fight counterfeiters."  A group, developed by
     top drivers and their sponsors, have originated a label,
     like those on NFL and NBA goods, denoting officially
     licensed goods.  Dick Paysor, Dir/Business Affairs for Rusty
     Wallace Inc.: "Licensing fees add up.  They account for 50
     percent of Wallace's income."  NASCAR's VP/Licensing &
     Consumer Products George Pyne: "License fees pay for the
     cars going around the track" (CHARLOTTE OBSERVER, 2/11).
