MARKETPLACE ROUND-UP

          In Chicago, Bernie DiMeo and Jerry Rosen, who formed
     the DiMeo Rosen Partners ad firm in '90, "have parted." 
     DiMeo has set up an agency under his name, and clients
     include the White Sox and the Bulls.  Rosen will continue to
     work with Frank Thomas' "Big Hurt Enterprises" (CHICAGO
     TRIBUNE, 1/27)....A Delaware court has approved a $100M
     short-term loan to Marvel Entertainment.  The approval
     clears the way for the company to move to the next step to
     restructure its operations under Chapter 11 bankruptcy. 
     Marvel is scheduled to reveal its reorganization plan in a
     meeting in court Tuesday (HOLLYWOOD REPORTER, 1/27).
     ...PepsiCo will expand its "Pepsi Stuff" promotional
     campaign this year (WALL STREET JOURNAL, 1/27)....The '97
     Montreal Int'l Sports Exhibition began Sunday and runs
     through Tuesday (Canadian Sporting Goods Association)....An
     "artistic renaissance" in advertising was profiled in the
     WASHINGTON POST.  Wieden & Kennedy spots for Nike and ESPN
     were featured (WASHINGTON POST, 1/26).
