STARS OWNER TOM HICKS TO UNVEIL TWO ALTERNATE ARENA SITES

          Stars Owner Tom Hicks "promised" yesterday to unveil
     two alternative sites for an arena next week and a plan to
     pay for them, according to Todd Gillman of the DALLAS
     MORNING NEWS.  Hicks said "well over half the money will
     come from private sources," but he did not go into detail. 
     Gillman notes that Hicks also reiterated the Mavs have "no
     right to all the spoils" a new downtown arena would create,
     and they should let other developers in on the process. 
     Hicks: "We're open to massive development.  We think private
     developers in Dallas, including ourselves, would be
     interested in doing that" (DALLAS MORNING NEWS, 1/24).
