To help promote sales for their proposed new stadium,
the Bengals are publishing a 20-page insert in this Sunday's
CINCINNATI ENQUIRER, "recalling the team's three-decade
history in Cincinnati, and previewing the future, according
to Anne Michaud of the ENQUIRER. The insert will contain
the public's first look at the model for the Bengals' new
stadium, as well as the two floor plans for private luxury
suites. Seat sales goals must be met by April 30, or "the
agreement for a new Bengals stadium is off." The sales goal
is 80% of the 104 suites sold by the end of April. Charter
Ownership Agreements (COAs), the Bengals' name for PSLs,
total $8M of a $20M goal. Figures on club seats "were not
available." Bengals President Mike Brown has a letter
included in the insert, reading: "Our biggest need for
broad-based support, of course, is in the area of Charter
Ownership Agreements ... Our COAs are priced well below seat
licenses on sale in other NFL cities." Among corporate
support for the insert: Star Bank, architect NBBJ, and
Christ Hospital (CINCINNATI ENQUIRER, 1/23).
