CLAIMING OPERATING LOSSES, O'S UP TICKET PRICES

The Orioles have raised ticket prices at Oriole Park at
Camden Yards between $2 and $5 per ticket next season,
according to Mark Maske of the WASHINGTON POST. Orioles'
Vice Chair/Business & Finance Joe Foss: "In order to
continue to bring our fans the kind of team that they expect
and deserve, we've found it necessary to increase ticket
prices accordingly." Maske notes the team's first ticket
increase in two years "will be felt the most by fans in the
best seats." Tickets for club and field box will increase
$5 each -- to $30. Prices for left field club seats will be
increased by $4 each, to $20, and prices for all other seats
will go up $2. Orioles execs said the team will post losses
of $3-$6M this year (WASHINGTON POST, 12/19).
