     SHAQUILLE O'NEAL's third rap project, "You Can't Stop the
Reign," will be released November 19, on his new label, The World
is Mine (ORLANDO SENTINEL, 11/5)....DARRYL STRAWBERRY is
reportedly set to appear in ads for Ritz Camera Stores in New
York City.  The ads apparently "play off his checkered past"
(N.Y. DAILY NEWS, 11/5)....Speedway Motorsports Chair BRUTON
SMITH was profiled in USA TODAY.  Smith "has become perhaps the
most powerful man in motor sports, ruling an empire that has at
the same time fed and fed off NASCAR'S rising popularity" (USA
TODAY, 11/5).... NBC's "Real Life" looked at the "sexy stars" of
MLS.   When asked what the "formula" was for "creating a sexy
soccer league," MLS Commissioner DOUG LOGAN said, "First of all,
we went out and purposely hired the best looking guys we could in
the whole wide world, and put them in short pants and let them go
after one another running up and down the field, getting sweaty"
