WHO LOVES LOU? REPORTS HAVE VIKINGS KEEPING EYE ON HOLTZ

"The word out of Minnesota is that contrary to reports,
Vikings President Roger Headrick will hire Lou Holtz, if
that's what Headrick's nine fellow owners really want,"
according to Fox's James Brown. Brown: "The Vikings need to
sell more tickets, and Holtz will do exactly that."
Headrick is reportedly "very close to securing a controlling
30% share of the club." Brown noted Headrick denied to
comment on any of these reports ("Fox NFL Sunday," Fox,
11/24). ESPN's Chris Mortensen, noting the Vikings have ten
members of the Board of Directors, who all own ten% of the
team, said ownership must come under compliance with the
NFL's ownership rules, meaning one owner controls 30% of the
     board" ("NFL Countdown," ESPN, 11/24).
