     The NBA will increase its presence on the World Wide Web and
debut a new version of its NBA.com on October 29, with revamped
bios updated daily.  The NBA will also unveil "completely
revamped sites for their 29 teams" (N.Y. POST, 10/20)....The NFL
has sued 10 Long Island bars and restaurants and one in Queens
"for allegedly showing out-of-market NFL games without a
commercial license" (NEWSDAY, 10/21)....Braves Manager Bobby Cox,
who was miked by Fox, was heard using a expletive during pregame
introductions  last night during Game One of the World Series.
Fox Sports' Vince Wladika: "It's one of the risks of live
television.  ... There's always the risk of hearing language
that's not up to snuff" (TAMPA TRIBUNE, 10/21)....Today's N.Y.
POST runs a transcript of Ted Turner's deposition on his role in
to keep the Fox News Channel from being seen on New York City
cable.  Turner on News Corp. Chair Rupert Murdoch: "Murdoch is a
pretty slimy character. ... His journalistic credentials are a
joke" (N.Y. POST, 10/21).

NBC Olympics’ Molly Solomon, ESPN’s P.K. Subban, the Masters and more

On this week’s pod, SBJ’s Austin Karp has two Big Get interviews. The first is with Molly Solomon, who will lead NBC’s production of the Olympics, and she shares what the network is are planning for Paris 2024. Later in the show, we hear from ESPN’s P.K. Subban as the Stanley Cup Playoffs get set to start this weekend. SBJ’s Josh Carpenter also joins the show to share his insights from this year’s Masters, while Karp dishes on how the WNBA Draft’s record-breaking viewership is setting the league up for a new stratosphere of numbers.

The second-ever MWC commissioner chats with SBJ’s Ross Nethery about her climb through the collegiate ranks. Nevarez is a member of SBJ’s Game Changers Class of 2019. Nevarez has had stints at the conference level in the Pac-12, West Coast Conference, and Mountain West Conference as well as at the college level at Oklahoma, Cal, and San Jose State.
