SPORTS VENUES CONFERENCE BEGINS TONIGHT IN MILWAUKEE

     The 1996 Sports Venues, Revenues & Values Conference gets
underway tonight at the Hyatt Hotel in Milwaukee, WI.  The
conference's keynote address will be delivered tomorrow by Acting
MLB Commissioner Bud Selig.  Major topics of discussion:  FRIDAY:
"The Future of Professional Sports," with Horrow Sports President
Rick Horrow, Diamondbacks GM Joe Garagiola Jr. and David Murphy
of MN-based Ellerbe Becket; and "The Financing and Politics of
Sports Facilities," with presentations by David Cardwell of
Holland & Knight, Deloitte & Touche's Stewart Rog; Ulice Payne
Jr. of the Southeast Wisconsin Professional Baseball Park
District and San Francisco Budget Dir Stephen Agostini.
SATURDAY:  "Naming Rights, Advertising & Sponsorships in
Professional Sports," with Brewers VP Mike Bucek, Katie Trettin
Benson of Miller Brewing Co. and SMG's Richard Sherwood; and "The
Future of Sports Facilities," with a presentation by Martin
Greenberg of the National Sports Law Institute at Marquette
University Law School (THE DAILY).
