SURVEY SAYS: LEAFS RAKE UP COMPETITION IN TORONTO

     A CFRB-AM/Angus Reid poll of 400 Toronto-area residents
released yesterday reveals that "hockey reigns supreme" in the
city, according to the TORONTO SUN. The poll asked: "Which two
teams you'd like most to see if offered front-row tickets: The
Maple Leafs, Blue Jays, [CFL] Argonauts or Raptors." 65% would
opt for Leafs tickets, 60% would chose the Blue Jays. The
Raptors received 39% of the vote and 14% said their first choice
would be an Argos game. The survey also found that while seven
out of every 10 men are Leafs fans, women "tended to prefer
baseball," with 65% favoring the Blue Jays (TORONTO SUN, 9/26).
