NAMES IN THE NEWS

     DON KING addressed a Harvard Law School Forum last night.
King, on his "fascination" with the law:  "That fascination has
really been a key, integral part to whatever success I've
enjoyed, and I guess I've been in more courtrooms than any of
you" (BOSTON GLOBE, 9/20)....The 19th Annual Int'l Sports Summit
takes place January 15-16, 1997 at the Marriott Marquis in New
York City.  Among those scheduled to appear are USOC Deputy
Secretary General JOHN KRIMSKY, ESPN/Chilton Sports Poll Exec Dir
DR. RICHARD LUKER and ISI President & CEO FRANK VUONO (Sports
Summit). ....RICHARD PETTY pleaded guilty to following too
closely when he bumped a car on I-85. It cost him four points
against his N.C. driving record and a $65 fine.  Reckless driving
and hit and run charges were dismissed (CHARLOTTE OBSERVER,
9/20).
