     Phillies President BILL GILES has been selected one of five
finalists in Wendy's international "Calling All Daves" lookalike
contest.  The winner of the contest will appear with Wendy's
founder Dave Thomas in his 500th TV commercial (PHILADELPHIA
DAILY NEWS, 9/16)...."Arli$$" star ROBERT WUHL appeared as a
guest on ESPN's "Up Close."  Wuhl, on if there is too much sports
in the show to attract a wide audience:  "One of our highest
demographics is women, which nobody figured on ... they really
love the show" (ESPN, 9/13)...."ET" went on location with
SHAQUILLE O'NEAL on the set of his new movie "Seal."  O'Neal, on
if there are any love scenes in "Seal":  "No, no, no.  I'm a role
model, man.  I can't be doing any of that stuff" ("ET,"
9/13)....JOHN MCENROE appeared as a guest on "Late Show" Friday
night.  McEnroe, on the Jensen Brothers:  "What a bunch of
clowns.  They're sort of entertainment tennis, but if they could
play, they'd have more credibility" ("Late Show," CBS,
9/13)....White Sox slugger FRANK THOMAS announced Pinnacle has
produced five "charity cards" featuring Thomas which will be sold
on behalf of a number of children's charities ("MLB on Fox," Fox,
9/14).
