FRANCHISE NOTES

     RDV Sports, the parent company of the Magic, has formed RDV
Sports Inc., an umbrella organization which will now operate the
Solar Bears, Magic Carpet Aviation, Magic FanAttic sports retail
stores and the RDV SportsPlex.  Early stages of planning include
creating an identity/logo for RDV Sports, and appointing
officers.  In addition to RDV Sports Inc. Chair & Ceo Rick DeVos
and COO Bob Vander Weide, officers include:  Pat Williams, Senior
VP; Carl Coates, VP/Marketing; John Gabriel, VP/Magic Ops; Jack
Swope, VP/Sales; Don Waddell, VP/Solar Bears Ops; and Steve
Lewelling, VP/Administration & Sportsplex Ops (Magic)....The
Pirates will unveil new home and away uniforms, a third jersey to
be worn "occasionally" at home, three new caps and a new logo
(PHILADELPHIA DAILY NEWS, 9/12).
