ICE, ICE BABY: KERRIGAN HEADS FOR HOLLYWOOD

Two-time Olympian NANCY KERRIGAN is profiled in BOSTON
Magazine by Yvonne Abraham, who writes that Kerrigan -- while
"incensed and mystified" by her celebrity status -- still pursues
projects that "have nothing to do with the ice." Those projects
include a movie deal and dancing. One film role is in a modern
"Medusa," a "gothic mythological thriller," as a grad student who
teams with her professor/lover to fight the myth's monster. On
the "gaffes" of '94, Kerrigan's husband/manager JERRY SOLOMON
says she is a victim of sexist double standards. Solomon: "If
you take some of the things she said, and if a guy had said them,
there's no big deal" (BOSTON, 8/96 issue).
