SPORTS SPECIALTIES LAUNCHES FOOTBALL AD EFFORT

     Sports Illustrated's Pro Football Issue and the November and
December editions of Sport magazine feature the first full-page,
national distribution print ads from Sports Specialties in
"nearly three years."  The SI ad, "Standard Equipment on the NFL
Sidelines," features images of Packers DL Reggie White, 49ers QB
Steve Young and Cowboys WR/DB Deion Sanders wearing Shadow caps.
The Sport ads promote Sports Specialties "Pro Bowl Sweepstakes"
promotion, a two month program with Foot Locker.  Sports
Specialties will launch a regional billboard program in the
following markets with featured athletes/products and retailers:
Baltimore: New Shadow Cap (Sears), Dallas: Deion Sanders
(JCPenney), Detroit:  RB Barry Sanders/QB Scott Mitchell (MC
Sports), Green Bay: QB Brett Favre/Reggie White (Kohl's), Kansas
City: QB Steve Bono (The Pro Image), Philadelphia: New Shadow Cap
(Champs), Pittsburgh: QB Kordell Stewart (Champs), and San
Francisco: Steve Young/WR Jerry Rice (various outlets) (Sports
Specialties).
     PATRIOT MISSILE:  Pats QB Drew Bledsoe signed with Sports
Specialties to wear their NFL Pro Line sideline headwear.
Bledsoe debuted his new Shadow Stitch Pats cap on Monday ESPN
game against the Cowboys (Sports Specialties).
